Legal Research - Internship
Water Town Swim School
We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented coach to work with two
motivated 12-year-old students competing in NCFCA team policy in the United
States. This role focuses on research, full case writing, strategic thinking,
and teaching students how to understand and win rounds, not just read scripts.
This is a 6-month internship that could be further extended based on
performance, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role in India as
we expand our long-term mission.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilites include:
1. Teach students how to research credible and printable evidence effectively
2. Write complete debate cases independently as multiple cases are required
during the season
3. Guide students in learning how to write full debate cases on their own
over time
4. Organize and write policy debate materials including 1AC, 2AC, 1NC, 2NC,
1AR, 2AR, 1NR, and 2NR
5. Prepare strong cross-examination questions and well-structured answers
6. Teach debate strategy by explaining how to win cases, identify weaknesses,
and exploit gaps in opposing arguments
7. Instruct students on organizing research efficiently using Google Drive
8. Conduct independent research and writing tasks as required
9. Deliver live sessions to demonstrate research and writing processes to
students
