Mission: Position ASPL tech vs tokamaks, stellarators, and WHAM class

concepts; craft IP defense.

Suitable Candidate Background

1\. Physics/Plasma/EE/ME undergrad/masters; reads academic papers comfortably.

2\. Familiar with fusion devices (tokamak/stellarator/mirror), RF/heating,

superconducting magnets.

3\. Interest in IP strategy (claims drafting, prior art, trade secrets).

Role Description

1\. Compare AMM vs tokamak (CFS/SPARC), stellarator (W7 X), Realta

WHAM/Hammir.

2\. Compile performance, CAPEX, milestones, investors; emphasize modularity.

3\. Draft IP strategy (patents vs trade secrets; black box modules &

interfaces).

Key Deliverables

1\. Technology Benchmarking Report with comparative matrix.

2\. Investor/Milestone Landscape summary.

3\. IP Protection Memo with recommended filing roadmap and secrecy controls.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1\. Build literature map (papers, preprints, tech notes, vendor datasheets).

2\. Define comparison schema (Q, , confinement, heating, CAPEX/MW, timeline).

3\. Identify interfaces suitable for modular black box treatment.

4\. Populate comparative matrix; run uncertainty bands where public data is

thin.

5\. Draft claims landscape and trade secret registry (what to patent vs keep

proprietary).

6\. Validate with advisors/KOLs; integrate feedback.

7\. Publish Benchmarking Report + Investor/Milestone note.

8\. Finalize IP memo (first filings, jurisdictions, publication timing, NDAs,

clean room).

9\. Handoff to Finance & PPA for narrative alignment.
