Web Application Testing Engineer - Internship

We are looking for a detail oriented Web Application Testing Engineer who
takes ownership of product quality across the application lifecycle. This role
focuses on validating functionality, usability, performance, and reliability
while working closely with developers and product teams to ensure a stable and
user-friendly product.
The ideal candidate understands that testing is not just about finding bugs,
but about protecting user experience and product credibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, design, and execute test cases for web and mobile applications
Perform manual testing across functional, regression, smoke, and sanity cycles
Conduct database testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency
Execute usability testing to ensure intuitive user experience and smooth
workflows
Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and evidence
Collaborate with developers to verify fixes and prevent regressions
Participate in requirement reviews to identify test scenarios early
Generate detailed test reports and share quality insights with stakeholders

TESTING SKILLS REQUIRED:

CORE TESTING
Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals and SDLC
Hands on experience in manual testing
Experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing
Understanding of defect lifecycle and test methodologies

DATABASE & BACKEND TESTING
Ability to validate data flows between frontend, backend, and database
Understanding of API level testing and data validation

USABILITY & QUALITY
Experience in usability testing and UX validation
Ability to identify edge cases, user flow issues, and friction points
Understanding of accessibility and cross browser testing

TEST AUTOMATION
Experience with test automation frameworks
Hands on experience with Selenium
Working knowledge of TestNG
Experience using Maven for test automation and build management
Ability to design and maintain automated test suites
Understanding of CI CD integration for automated tests

REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
Strong skills in test case writing and test scenario documentation
Experience in report generation and defect reporting
Ability to write clear, structured, and actionable test reports
Comfortable using bug tracking tools and test management systems
