As a Shadow Teacher/Special Needs Teacher, the selected intern will support
children and adults with special or additional needs across inclusive school
and home-based settings.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Plan and conduct structured, goal-oriented therapy sessions for
individuals with special educational needs (SEN).
2. Promote independence in behavior, academics, and social skills within
school environments.
3. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans (IEPs, ISPs) to
support academic, behavioral, and cognitive growth.
4. Design and deliver holistic, developmentally appropriate activities during
home-based sessions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, learning
disabilities, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities.
5. Adapt and modify general education curricula using specialized
instructional strategies and materials.
6. Engage in continuous professional development through training and best-
practice updates in psychology and special education.
7. Provide independence, social, and vocational skills training to adults
with special needs.
8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors and
therapists, to develop therapy plans and maintain accurate documentation.
