Software Development - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Implement and unit test well defined modules in a C#/.NET based Windows
worker/service (e.g., file watchers, config parsing, logging utilities).
2. Add and improve file ingestion logic: watching folders for new files,
handling edge cases (partial writes, retries), and writing small utilities for
checksum and integrity checks
3. Contribute to the data layer: helper methods around SQLite or similar
embedded DBs (schema migrations, query wrappers, indexing checks under
guidance)
4. Assist in building and hardening interfaces to external systems (mock PLC
clients, simulated devices, test harnesses for network/file failures).
5. Write and maintain automated tests (unit/integration) and logging/metrics
hooks to improve observability of the service.
6. Help with developer documentation: internal readmes, sequence diagrams,
and configuration examples for deployments
