Partnerships & Compliance – Luxury Leather Manufacturers - Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to spearhead
partnerships with family-owned leather goods manufacturers in India who are
looking to expand globally, particularly into the US market. This role
requires strong expertise in sourcing, QA/compliance, and supply chain
management, with an ability to guide manufacturers through international
readiness. A background in leather goods product development is highly valued,
as this role will also bridge design and manufacturing needs for global
buyers.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

A. Manufacturer sourcing & partnerships:
1. Identify and build relationships with family-owned premium/luxury leather
goods manufacturers ready to scale globally.
2. Secure commitments (Letters of Intent) from at least 10 leather
manufacturers within 3 months.
3. Develop secondary relationships with high-potential textile manufacturers
as needed.

B. Compliance & vetting:
1. Establish a dual-process vetting system (manual evaluation + third-party
services) to assess manufacturers on quality, compliance, and scalability.
2. Lead QA and compliance audits for leather goods (material sourcing,
finishing, ethical standards).
3. Manage MOU drafting, contracts, and documentation to formalize
partnerships.

C. Leather product development support:
1. Collaborate with manufacturers on product development processes for
handbags, footwear, jackets, and small leather goods.
2. Advise on international quality standards, finishing, and buyer
expectations.
3. Ensure smooth execution of sampling, prototyping, and production for
global markets.

D. Market navigation & strategy:
1. Monitor global tariff shifts, compliance regulations, and sourcing
challenges impacting leather exports.
2. Provide strategic insights to strengthen Maryadha's positioning in the
premium leather goods space.
3. Identify opportunities for manufacturers to expand into the US and
European luxury markets.
