Mobile App Testing - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

Test Planning & Strategy

1. Understand app requirements and create detailed test plans.
2. Define test scope, objectives, and timelines.
3. Identify devices, OS versions, and network conditions for testing.

Test Case Design & Execution

1. Write and maintain test cases for functional, UI, and usability testing.
2. Execute manual and automated tests on real devices and emulators.
3. Validate app performance under different conditions (battery, network).

Automation & Tools

1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Appium,
Espresso, or XCUITest.
2. Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

Bug Reporting & Tracking

1. Log defects with clear steps, screenshots, and logs in tools like JIRA or
Bugzilla.
2. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.

Compatibility & Regression Testing

1. Ensure app works across multiple devices, screen sizes, and OS versions.
2. Perform regression testing after updates or bug fixes.

Performance & Security Testing

1. Monitor app performance (load time, memory usage).
2. Validate security aspects like data encryption and secure API calls.

Documentation & Reporting

1. Maintain test documentation and provide detailed test reports.
2. Communicate test results and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Collaboration

1. Coordinate with developers, designers, and product managers.
2. Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
