Machine Learning Engineer - Forecasting And Buy Algorithms - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Build and evaluate probabilistic time series models (multi-quantile,
calibration checks) for demand, price, and supply.
2. Contribute to the buy algorithm: receding-horizon optimization (MPC) or
lot-sizing under uncertainty; set up scenario generation and risk measures
such as CvaR.
3. Engineer features from weather, calendar, and telemetry; for PV, turn
irradiance and temperature signals into production estimates.
4. Model markets on both sides: demand response to price (monotone demand),
and supply availability curves (monotone volume by price).
5. Run back tests and A/B style evaluations with clear baselines and
acceptance metrics.
6. Write clean, documented Python code and small unit tests; keep notebooks
reproducible.
7. Collaborate with data engineering for schemas and with backend for
integration stubs.
