Industrial Design - Internship

This is an on-site internship role for an Industrial Design Intern located in
Bengaluru. The Industrial Design Intern will support day-to-day design
activities across the product development lifecycle, including design
research, problem identification, concept development, prototyping, execution,
and user validation. The role involves close collaboration with the design
team and cross-functional stakeholders, with significant exposure to hospital
and clinical environments.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct design research within the healthcare and medical device domain to
identify real-world problems and unmet user needs
2. Interact with end users such as nurses, clinicians, and technicians to
gather qualitative insights and feedback
3. Document research findings, observations, and problem statements to inform
design direction
4. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative, research-
driven ideas for product development
5. Create detailed sketches and digital renderings to effectively communicate
design concepts
6. Develop 3D CAD models to visualize, evaluate, and refine design ideas
7. Assist in the execution of product designs with attention to usability,
feasibility, and real-world application
8. Develop physical and virtual prototypes using various materials, tools,
and fabrication techniques
9. Participate in usability testing and field evaluations to gather user
feedback
10. Iterate designs based on research insights, testing outcomes, and user
feedback
11. Contribute to detailed design specifications, documentation, and
presentations
12. Work with the design team to ensure designs meet industry standards and
regulatory requirements
13. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to
integrate design concepts into the overall product development process
14. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to
improve design quality
15. Stay informed about trends and advancements in industrial design,
particularly within the medical device sector
