EV Mechanical Design & Development Engineer (Full Vehicle Development) - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

A. Vehicle Architecture & Concept Development:
1. Define full vehicle architecture (frame, suspension, steering,
ergonomics).
2. Convert raw product specs into engineering constraints and models.
3. Rapid prototyping: sketches CAD simulations physical prototypes.

B. CAD/CAM, 3D Modelling & Engineering Design:
1. Create 3D models for chassis, body panels, battery casing, mounting
brackets.
2. Prepare production-ready drawings with GD&T.
3. Generate CAM tool paths for machining/fabrication.
4. Work with sheet metal, tubular frames, plastics, 3D-printed parts.

C. Powertrain & Integration:
1. Integrate hub/BLDC motors, controllers, battery packs, wiring harness.
2. Design cooling, load distribution, mechanical safety systems.
3. Understand torque curves, gear ratios, load paths, structural fatigue.

D. Material Selection & Manufacturing:
1. Choose appropriate materials (aluminum, steel, composites, ABS, FRP).
2. Work with fabrication shops for welding, machining, molding, 3D printing.
3. Validate manufacturability and cost efficiency of designs.

E. Testing & Validation:
1. Perform static/dynamic loading tests.
2. Road tests, safety tests, vibration & NVH checks.
3. Debug mechanical failures - no excuses, just solutions.

F. Collaboration & Leadership:
1. Work directly with the founder.
2. Manage suppliers, vendors, and fabrication units.
3. Document everything clearly and logically.
