Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1\. Analyze marine accidents occurring in good weather conditions from the

perspective of marine law and local regulations in India and overseas

2\. Analyze marine accidents occurring in adverse weather conditions such as

cyclones from the perspective of marine law and local regulations in India and

overseas

3\. Examine and analyze criminal law implications arising from marine accident

cases

4\. Conduct detailed case studies and historical research on past marine

accident incidents

5\. Work under the guidance of subject-matter experts with access to senior

advocates and legal counsels on a case-by-case basis

6\. Assist in legal drafting and professional legal writing assignments

7\. Attend legal proceedings and related legal matters, including court

appearances as an observer when required

About Ocean Philanthropic Centre

Our organization has two entities. The commercial entity is Ocean Philanthropic Centre (OPC), registered under the Company Law Board in India. The charitable entity is ODC Foundation (NGO), also registered in India in March 1998. Projects are taken up on a case-by-case basis, either in OPC or ODC Foundation, with an approach for self-sustainability. Revenues generated through its integrated commercial outlets are cycled back for social and socio-economic objectives. Our key infrastructure for implementing Health- Knowledge-Culture (HKC) programmes includes: 1\. 'Knowledge Hub' in a 15-acre developed farm (group-owned) at Billimora (Gujarat). 2\. Well-established office (group-owned) in Mumbai providing a platform for coordination, logistics, and support. 3\. Ocean-going vessels (group-owned) for trans-ocean HKC programs like 'Ocean Science & Research'. 4\. Vehicles for HKC programs and expeditions. 5\. Pavilions for exhibits. 6\. Project-specific specialized equipment.
