Social Media Marketing - Internship

ERDC is seeking a thoughtful and content-driven Social Media Intern for a

Punjab-focused project aimed at developing future leaders to drive social,

economic, and community transformation in Punjab.

This role blends research understanding, leadership narratives, and content

creation. The intern will help translate ideas around leadership, youth

engagement, entrepreneurship, and Punjab's social and economic realities into

clear, relatable digital content.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn how leadership

development initiatives are communicated, documented, and amplified at scale.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

A. Content Creation

1\. Create digital content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube

around leadership development, youth engagement, entrepreneurship, and

Punjab's development challenges.

2\. Assist in producing reels, short videos, carousels, posters, and stories.

3\. Support writing captions and narratives in English and Punjabi.

4\. Convert leadership sessions, discussions, workshops, and research insights

into

5\. public-facing content.

B. Research & Contextual Content

1\. Support research and documentation related to Punjab's economic, social,

and leadership landscape.

2\. Help simplify research inputs, discussions, and concept notes into

accessible content formats.

3\. Assist in content around leadership values, grassroots leadership stories,

and youth-led change in Punjab.

C. Social Media Support

1\. Assist in executing the social media content calendar.

2\. Support post scheduling and platform-wise adaptation of content.

3\. Monitor engagement and support basic community interaction.

D. On-ground & Program Content

1\. Assist in capturing photos, short videos, testimonials, and insights

during leadership programs, workshops, consultations, and field activities.

2\. Support documentation of Punjab-focused leadership initiatives.

E. Trends, Youth & Leadership Narratives

1\. Track trends related to leadership, youth movements, social change, and

public discourse

2\. Support ideation of content that connects leadership development.

F. Coordination & Learning

1\. Work closely with ERDC's research, program, and communications teams.

2\. Coordinate with designers, editors, and facilitators for content

execution.

3\. Learn how leadership development projects are planned, communicated, and

scaled.
