International Growth Strategy & Marketing Internship Position
Job description
We seek a proactive, detail-oriented International Growth Strategy & Marketing
Intern to join our high-performing sales team. This role is ideal for students
or recent graduates eager to gain practical, real-world experience in global
business development. As an intern, you will play a key role identifying,
analysing, and qualifying prospective customers worldwide and directly
contributing to sales growth and nurturing long-term client relationships.
This internship offers meaningful real-world experience in international
trade, sales, and business development, equipping you with valuable skills to
distinguish your career.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
Sales Strategy
1. Research and leverage diverse sales channels to generate new business
opportunities.
2. Proactively identify and engage potential customers across global markets.
3. Collaborate with sales and project teams to refine sales and marketing
strategies.
4. Report weekly and monthly KPIs to the sales manager.
5. Manage and update leads using Zoho CRM software.
6. Qualify and analyse potential clients, maintaining the sales pipeline and
target accounts.
7. Respond promptly to client inquiries and follow up on leads.
Client Engagement and Problem-Solving
1. Understand client needs and communicate insights effectively to the team.
2. Work with the procurement team to resolve client inquiries and challenges.
3. Build and nurture long-term trusting relationships with prospective
clients.
Client Development
1. Engage with potential clients on platforms such as LinkedIn.
2. Research ideal clients and nurture existing accounts within the CRM
system.
3. Identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
4. Schedule and facilitate meetings or calls between clients and sales
executives.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, marketing,
international trade, or a related field.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
3. Quick learner with the ability to work independently after training.
4. Attention to detail, especially in researching and qualifying leads.
5. Creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
1. Familiarity with CRM software or data entry is a plus.
2. Interest in international trade and related industries such as mining,
construction, and chemicals.
3. Prior experience in a start-up or sales-oriented role is advantageous but
not required.
Internship Goals:
1. Bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience in international
trade.
2. Gain insight into the challenges of global sales cycles, from marketing
through execution.
3. Collaborate within a diverse, international team to develop and implement
strategies.
4. Experience real-world international trade operations firsthand.
Training and Mentorship:
1. Comprehensive orientation covering company mission, vision, and role
expectations.
2. Scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings for personalized guidance.
3. Access to task-specific training materials, videos, and documents via a
shared Google folder.
4. Hands-on training in CRM software and other key tools.
5. Ongoing support and collaboration through team availability on Teams.
Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 3 months
Expected hours: 20hrs per week
1. This is an internship with no salary range, as it is designed to provide
current students and recent graduates with hands-on experience.
2. This position can qualify for school credit per approval from the
respective institution.
