Computer Vision - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Set up and calibrate RGB and depth camera systems for conveyor-mounted
object detection.
2. Build real-time image processing pipelines using OpenCV, NumPy, and
Python-based CV frameworks.
3. Train, test, and deploy detection/classification models (YOLOv8, SSD,
custom CNNs) for scrap material sorting (aluminum, copper, steel, etc.).
4. Integrate vision outputs with robotic manipulation systems for pick-and-
place operations.
5. Optimize pipeline latency for <5ms camera-to-classification response.
6. Deploy and test inference pipelines on edge devices (NVIDIA Jetson,
Xavier).
7. Work with containerized environments (Docker) for reproducible
deployments.
8. Feed annotated error cases back into model training loops for continuous
improvement.
9. Support real-time dashboard visualizations (visual overlays, object stats,
and monitoring)
