Business Development (Sales) - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Sales Generation: Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to
drive revenue growth through inbound and outbound campaigns. Build and
maintain a strong sales pipeline by identifying potential clients, conducting
sales presentations, and negotiating contracts to secure new properties and
experiential stay bookings. Need to spend quality time on outbound campaigns
by promoting the brand and business to attract new clients and customers and
in turn generate revenue for the company.
2. Client Relationship Management: Nurture and maintain relationships with
existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Regularly engage
with clients to understand their needs, provide personalized recommendations,
and upsell additional services or properties.
3. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our properties and
experiential stay offerings, including the unique features, amenities, and
local attractions. Effectively communicate the value propositions to clients
and address any questions or concerns they may have.
4. Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and
industry developments related to vacation rentals and experiential stays.
Utilize market research to identify new opportunities, fine-tune sales
strategies, and enhance our product offerings.
5. Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with the marketing and operations
teams to develop targeted promotional campaigns, marketing materials, and
pricing strategies. Provide valuable insights and feedback to continuously
improve our offerings and maximize sales effectiveness.
6. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales
process, from initial contact to post-stay follow-up. Address client
inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain a high level of customer
satisfaction.
7. Reporting and Analytics: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records,
including client interactions, bookings, and revenue. Provide regular reports
and analysis on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to
drive informed decision-making.
8. Industry Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking
opportunities to build relationships, generate leads, and stay connected with
industry professionals. Represent the company professionally and actively
promote our offerings.
Requirements:
1. Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in hospitality,
or travel industry. Experience in selling experiential stay offerings is a
plus.(Minimum 1-2 years)
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to
effectively engage with clients, deliver persuasive sales presentations, and
build rapport.
3. Customer-centric Approach: Strong customer service orientation and ability
to understand and meet client needs and preferences.
4. Self-Motivation: Results-driven mindset with the ability to work
independently, set targets, and achieve sales goals.
5. Market Knowledge: Familiarity with private farmhouses, vacation rentals
and experiential stay market, including popular destinations, industry trends,
and competitor offerings.
6. Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation techniques to secure
profitable bookings and contracts.
7. Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain
relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
8. Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills
to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple sales opportunities
simultaneously.
9. IT: Comfortable using sales and customer relationship management (CRM)
software and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
10. Travel Availability: Willingness to travel for property visits and client
meetings.
