IN-STORE SALES INTERN - Internship

About the Role:

Were looking for a Sales Intern to support the day-to-day functioning of The

Patrika Gift Shop, our physical retail space in Shahpur Jat. This role is

ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, has an inherent

excitement for engaging with customers, and understands that good sales come

from listening, storytelling, and genuine connection, not pushiness.

Youll play an important people-facing role, representing the brand on the shop

floor and at future exhibitions or pop-ups we may participate in.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Store Sales & Customer Engagement

Welcome customers into the store and engage them in a warm, friendly, and

natural manner

Confidently start conversations with customers to understand why theyre

visiting and what theyre looking for

Encourage purchases through storytelling, product context, and thoughtful

suggestions rather than hard selling

Suggest complementary products when relevant, based on customer needs and

gifting occasions

Be comfortable asking satisfied customers for feedback or testimonials, when

appropriate

Assist with billing, gift/ order packing, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end

customer experience

Customer Understanding & Relationship Building

Read customer cues and adapt your approach depending on whether they want

quick help or a deeper conversation

Help customers feel guided, not pressured

Build rapport that encourages repeat visits and word-of-mouth recommendations

Store Operations & Visual Standards

Support daily store opening and closing routines

Maintain product displays and visual merchandising as per guidelines

Assist with inventory checks, restocking, quality checks and basic store

upkeep

Support during peak hours, launches, workshops, or special occasions

Exhibitions, Pop-Ups & Events

Represent Patrika confidently at exhibitions, pop-ups, and off-site events

Engage visitors, explain products and collections, and help convert interest

into sales

Assist with stall setup, breakdown, and on-ground coordination when required

What Were Looking For:

Naturally confident, people-facing personality with good energy and enthusiasm

Comfortable initiating conversations and asking questions

Friendly, articulate, and well-presented

Good communication skills (English & Hindi preferred)

Willingness to learn and take ownership on the shop floor

Interest in design, stationery, gifting, or boutique retail is a plus

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

This is not a passive or back-end role
