experiences that celebrate the region's natural heritage. Beyond commerce,

Neelgreens is committed to contributing to Nilgiris' ecological betterment

through rigorous documentation, research, and education around landscapes,

forests, and human impact. The organization is building a long-term visual and

documentary archive of the Nilgiris focusing on ecology, landscapes, and human

impact, with the intent to document reality honestly not to create promotional

or influencer-style content.

This internship is designed for individuals who want to work on meaningful

long-form visual documentation in natural environments, contributing to

serious archival and educational initiatives.

Internship Objective:

The primary objective of this internship is to create documentary-style video

and visual records of Shola forests, landscapes, ecological change, and field

research processes.

The material created will be used for Neelgreens' archives, educational

initiatives, and future documentary projects intended for long-term learning

and conservation documentation.

Scope of Work:

1\. The intern will document the following subjects and phenomena:

2\. Shola forests, grasslands, and surrounding landscapes across seasons and

conditions

3\. Human impact on natural ecosystems both positive and destructive

4\. Field research activities and scientific discussions in progress

5\. Natural conditions such as cold weather, rain, silence, decay, and

regeneration

6\. Ecological processes and relationships in their lived context

7\. This role requires patience, careful observation, and deep respect for the

environment and the people being documented. Documentary work demands

sensitivity to context and ethical considerations around consent and

representation.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1\. During the internship, successful candidates will undertake the following

responsibilities:

2\. Plan and shoot documentary-style video footage in forest and rural terrain

with minimal equipment interference

3\. Capture landscape, detail, and process-oriented visuals that convey

ecological and human stories

4\. Record interviews and field conversations when appropriate, with proper

consent and contextual awareness

5\. Maintain organized, labeled, and archived raw footage with clear metadata

and cataloging

6\. Assist in editing structured documentary sequences or visual logs for

educational and archival purposes

7\. Participate in collaborative feedback and refinement of visual work with

the Neelgreens team

8\. Demonstrate ethical documentary practices including consent, privacy, and

cultural sensitivity
