About Red Dot Foundation
Safecity (registered as Red Dot Foundation) has been crowdsourcing personal experiences of sexual violence in public spaces since December 2012. We have been quite successful in collating over 25,000+ stories from all over India, Kenya, and Nepal. We aim to identify location-based trends and inspire individual and community-based action to improve neighborhood safety. Furthermore, we have quite a few success stories around India and Kenya, and our experience has been that the police have been proactive in taking action, like changing beat patrol timings, etc.
