Investment Analyst - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1\. Evaluate early-stage startups across sectors and analyze their business
models, traction, and scalability.
2\. Participate in pitch meetings and contribute to internal discussions
during deal evaluations.
3\. Conduct deep-dive sector and competitor research to identify emerging
opportunities and macro trends.
4\. Prepare investment memos, research reports, and investment theses to
support decision-making.
5\. Assist in due diligence across financial, business, and operational
aspects.
6\. Track portfolio performance and help in ongoing monitoring work.
7\. Support operational and administrative tasks within the investment
workflow.
8\. Maintain and update internal databases for deal flow, portfolio tracking,
and market intelligence.
9\. Draft investment material including investment memos, theses, notes, and
research reports.
10\. Conduct sector research, market mapping, and competitive landscaping for
emerging industries.

Udyat Ventures is the family office of Mr. Harsh Gupta, who is the MD of Udyat Group. This is a 60-year-old diversified group working on international projects in power, water, smart cities, and several related fields. Through the investment arm, we are actively investing in early-stage tech start-ups across sectors. We generally invest from seed to pre-series A stages, writing cheques of 500K to 1.5 Mn USD, and are completely sector agnostic. Our portfolio currently includes 18+ startups ranging across sectors. The partners, Mr. Rahul Gupta and Mr. Harsh Gupta, have been business builders and entrepreneurs themselves, investing in startups for a very long time, and have seen some stellar exits as well. Rahul has been a veteran in the VC space, along with being a serial entrepreneur and start-up investor. The idea is to help startups with not just capital but also their own know-how and business networks built over the years.
