Community Mental Health Champion (On-Ground) - Internship
Emoneeds
Project Saathi is a community-based mental health initiative supported by NTPC
CSR. We work in slums, villages, colleges, and low-resource settings to find
people suffering from stress, anxiety, or emotional distress and connect them
to free doctors and therapists via the emoneeds platform.
We are looking for energetic community connectors. You will be the 'face of
Project Saathi' in your district or college. Your job is to find people who
need help and hold their hand until they get it. This is a field-based role
involving travel within your assigned district/campus.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1\. Awareness generation: Conduct small group meetings, classroom sessions, or
door-to-door visits to talk about mental health and break the stigma.
2\. Beneficiary identification: Identify people showing signs of distress
(stress, anxiety, family issues) using our basic screening tools.
3\. Registration & handholding: Help beneficiaries fill out the form and
register for the Free OPD.
4\. Follow-up: Ensure the beneficiary actually attends their doctor's call and
follows the treatment plan.
5\. Reporting: Maintain daily data of people met, screened, and registered.
