Anika Sterilis Private Limited has developed a prototype of the system comprising the subject breath analyzer for easy and fast diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB). The said breath analyzer analyzes volatile organic compounds (VOC) in human exhaled respiration using an in-built ion mobility spectrometer (IMS). Our IMS-based volatile organic compound profiling breath analyzer (prototype system) is revealing satisfactory sensitivity and specificity as compared to all other TB testing methods currently available in the Indian market.
