Electron Desktop Developer (JavaScript With Mern Stack Experience Requried) - Internship

We are seeking a part-time Electron Developer (Node.js-based backend, not

Electron.js desktop) to support the integration of our accounting system

(HelloBooks) with Tally ERP via a custom middleware layer.

This role is ideal for a consultant who can dedicate a few hours a week to

assist with:

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1\. Maintaining sync logic between HelloBooks Electron Tally

2\. Managing small-scale enhancements and bug fixes

3\. Occasionally, adding support for new entities (e.g., payments, journals)

Scope of Work:

1\. Maintain or extend middleware APIs to push/pull transactions between

HelloBooks and Tally

2\. Handle entity sync logic for:

3\. Sales, Purchases, Journals, Receipts

4\. Master data: Customers, Vendors, Chart of Accounts

Implement or support:

1\. JSON XML conversion (for Tally)

2\. Tally API calls via Web API or Gateway Server

3\. Sync status tracking and logging

4\. Coordinate lightly with our internal HelloBooks backend team (on-demand)

Ideal Skills:

1\. Strong Node.js backend (0-2 years experience)

2\. PostgreSQL (or any RDBMS) for tracking sync status

3\. Data transformation (JSON XML)

4\. Familiarity with Tally ERP integration via ODBC, Web API, or TDL

Nice to Have:

1\. Knowledge of MERN Stack.

2\. Understanding of accounting workflows: invoices, bills, journals, payments

3\. Experience writing reusable data mappers or webhook handlers

Project Details:

1\. Duration: Ongoing (ad hoc hours per month)

2\. Time Commitment: Under 15 hours/month

3\. Location: Preferably Ahmedabad-based, but remote freelancers welcome

4\. Compensation: Hourly/Monthly retainer negotiable
