Import Export Executive - Internship
Matrix Exports
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
International Sales & Business Development
1\. Identify and target prospective clients in international markets to
generate leads and drive sales.
2\. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue goals and
expand market presence.
3\. Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing
international clients.
4\. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals with high
profitability.
Note: Sales performance will be the key criterion for PPO (Pre-Placement
Offer) and ongoing evaluation of internship and PPO.
Import-Export Operations
1\. Handle complete import-export operations, including documentation, customs
clearance, and logistics.
2\. Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, Incoterms, and shipping
documentation.
3\. Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure
smooth delivery cycles.
4\. Resolve issues related to customs discrepancies, shipping delays, and
documentation errors.
Market Research & Analysis
1\. Conduct research on international market trends, competitor activities,
and emerging opportunities.
2\. Provide insights for strategy refinement and business growth.
3\. Compile reports on sales metrics, market insights, and process efficiency.
4\. Client Communication & Support
5\. Serve as the key point of contact for international clients, offering
prompt and professional support.
6\. Share product information, send quotations, and manage after-sales
queries.
7\. Maintain accurate and updated client interaction records.
Documentation & Compliance
1\. Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists,
and certificates of origin.
2\. Ensure adherence to trade laws, export-import compliance, and
documentation standards.
3\. Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and tariffs.
Qualifications
1\. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or
related fields.
2\. 2-3 years of experience in international sales, import-export operations,
or similar roles.
3\. Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, Incoterms, and shipping
procedures.
4\. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); CRM tool experience is
a plus.
5\. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6\. Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
7\. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet
deadlines.

Salary & Benefits
1\. Stipend during probation (6 months): 8,000/month plus performance-based
incentives.
2\. Note: A minimum of one successful sale during probation is required to
maintain monthly stipend eligibility. Non-performance may lead to revisions.
3\. Mandatory 6-month internship for freshers for PPO eligibility.
