PCB & Embedded Systems - Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

PCB Design & Development

1\. Design and optimize single, double, and multilayer PCBs using Altium,

KiCad, Eagle, or OrCAD.

2\. Handle schematic capture, component selection, layout, and routing for

aerospace/defence-grade projects.

3\. Generate Gerber files, BOMs, and assembly documents for fabrication.

Embedded Systems & Microcontrollers

1\. Work with Arduino, STM32, and other microcontrollers for prototyping and

testing.

2\. Develop and debug basic firmware for sensor interfacing, control loops,

and communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN).

3\. Integrate sensors, actuators, and wireless modules with embedded systems.

Prototyping & Hands-On Work

1\. Perform soldering (through-hole & SMD), assembly, and board bring-up.

2\. Build and test breadboard and perfboard circuits before PCB finalization.

3\. Conduct hardware debugging with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic

analyzers.

Testing & Validation

1\. Carry out functional and performance testing of PCBs and embedded systems.

2\. Ensure reliability under thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMC conditions

(aerospace standards).

3\. Document test results and suggest design improvements.

Documentation & Compliance

1\. Maintain detailed design notes, wiring diagrams, and test logs.

2\. Follow IPC and aerospace-grade standards for PCB and electronics design.

Independent Work

1\. Be prepared to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal

supervision.

2\. Stay proactive in researching new tools, components, and methods to

improve designs.

3\. Since this is a startup environment, interns are expected to be self-

driven, proactive, and resourceful in solving problems.

4\. Collaborate with the team only when required, but primarily handle

individual project responsibilities end-to-end.
