Social Media Marketing Intern Daily Responsibilities

1\. Content Planning & Scheduling

Assist in building the weekly content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, and

LinkedIn.

Research hooks, trends, and relevant dates (festivals, awareness days, etc.).

Draft captions, hashtags, and post ideas aligned with brand tone.

2\. Content Creation Support

Coordinate with designers or photographers for visuals.

Shoot or edit short videos, reels, or stories when needed.

Help repurpose existing content into fresh formats e.g., turning blog snippets

into carousels.

3\. Posting & Engagement

Schedule posts via tools like Meta Business Suite or Later.

Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions reply or flag them for action.

Engage with followers, partner pages, and influencers to build organic reach.

4\. Trend Tracking & Ideation

Keep an eye on trending audios, memes, and formats that fit the brand.

Suggest creative ways to adapt trends for upcoming posts or campaigns.

5\. Analytics & Reporting

Track daily engagement metrics (reach, saves, clicks, followers).

Summarize weekly or monthly insights what worked, what didn't, and why.

6\. Campaign Coordination

Support influencer or giveaway campaigns by reaching out, tracking posts, and

collecting results.

Help with collaborations drafting briefs, sharing content kits, or

coordinating deliverables.

7\. Brand Consistency

Ensure every caption, tag, and visual aligns with brand voice and aesthetic.

Double-check spelling, tone, and formatting before publishing anything live.

8\. Learning & Improvement

Stay updated on new platform features (Instagram Reels tools, Threads updates,

etc.).

Experiment with new formats polls, stories, or mini vlogs and share learnings

with the team.
