Gmail & Outlook Add-On Development - Internship

At Sahara, we're building AI tools to help doctors and clinicians spend less

time on documentation, and more time on patient care. You will be working to

build intelligent productivity extensions that integrate deeply into Gmail and

Microsoft Outlook. These add-ons will help users automate workflows, extract

data, and perform actions directly within their email inbox.

We're looking for a developer who can design, build, and deploy cross-platform

email add-ons using Google Workspace Add-On and Microsoft Office Add-In

frameworks, ensuring smooth performance and compliance with both ecosystems'

standards.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1\. Design and develop Gmail Add-Ons using Google Apps Script, Google

Workspace APIs, and CardService UI

2\. Build and maintain Outlook Add-Ins using Office.js, Microsoft Graph API,

and manifest-based configuration.

3\. Create a unified UX and feature set across both Gmail and Outlook

integrations

4\. Handle authentication securely (OAuth2, Google Identity, Microsoft Azure

AD)

5\. Enable features like side-panel extensions

6\. Build a scalable backend (Node.js / Python preferred) for processing and

data sync

7\. Manage deployment via Google Workspace Marketplace and Microsoft AppSource

8\. Ensure compliance with Google/Microsoft review guidelines, privacy

policies, and performance benchmarks

9\. Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code with clear

documentation
